We have just launched our site about a month ago and are ready to add an affiliate referral function to the site.  We have a paid membership site and when an affiliate refers a user to our site and that user becomes a paid member we will in turn pay a referral fee to the the affiliate source.

I know that the backend of the DNN system has the Affiliate Referral Report, but is there a way so that our store can be set up to automatically create a report per affiliate so that we know how much to pay them??  And is there a built-in function with more info than the site log so that we can determine which paid member came from a specific affiliate?

We've considered just adding a section to the join process where we actually ask the new member from where they were referred, but that may not always be reliable.

We need help to figure this out.

Thanks,

Anel

Hello,

I have been requesting an affiliate module for quite sometime but no-one has created one yet. I would not use the ' where were you referred from' method as it is unreliable and you are likely to annoy your affiliate members.

The Catalook store has a kind of affiliate system, but it is not a full-blown affiliate system and that is about as good as it gets.

The built-in DNN system just reports on click-throughs and number of users that have registered, which is not suitable for an affiliate system selling products.

The ideal situation would be to have a module that works like the Snowcovered store affiliate system, but that module is not available to purchase.

I have been wanting to set up an affiliate system on DNN creative for quite some time but haven't had the spare time to look into it any further than the information above, I'm sure there is a way of setting it up or combining modules together to create an affiliate system. If you find any further information please let us know,

Thanks,

Lee
