I am trying to upgrade a 7.x DNN site, no content has been added. The 7 site worked before the upgrade.
I place the site offline with app_offline.htm
I unzipped the upgrade file with overwrite enabled.
I got no errors during the upgrade
I found some older papers on the telerik version being hard coded into the config files but I cannot find telerik DLL anywhere on the site. I am not sure if it is in a different location in 7 or 8 or if some other problem is causing this.
Can anyone give me a shove in the proper direction?

Godaddy is tough for DNN Toddah. It is the worst hosting provider to host DNN in general.
Upgrading a brand new DNN 7 site to DNN 8 is no major effort. No DLLs have changed location. MAybe when you tried upgrading not all files from the upgrade package have been uploaded.
I would try again from scratch.
Sincerely,
Andy
