Hello,

I've watched the excellent video series on taxonomy:
http://www.dnncreative.com/Tutorial...fault.aspx

Is there any way to display the tags associated with each module underneath each module? I've only seen tags displayed at page level.

Best Regards,

Steve

Presumably, what you have seen is the result of using the TAGS skin object in the skin.

You should be able to do something similar with a container, to provide a list of tags regarding the module inside of the container. I haven't thought about doing something like this, and I'm not aware of how easy it is so that the container is aware of the module it contains. You might look at something like the print icon that can be used in a container for some ideas.

Then I googled ... http://kalyani.com/2005/03/ask-nik-...container/

I think that this provides the key. Given the module ID, you can then get the tags applied to the module.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for your reply and sorry for the late reply, forgot to check the email notifications.

I don't understand why the container needs to be used? i think I'm missing some vital point.

If you want to display something about each module, and have it appear under each module, it seems to me that you'd want to incorporate that into the container that wraps the module(s).

I was thinking of something like the rarely used "print" icon that can be used in a container.

In this care, the container, knowing which module it contains, could query the module for its tags and display them.

Granted I haven't worked this out completely, but that seems that a reasonable approach.

And, like the print icon, you would be able to turn it on or off with a setting.

OK I can see what you're getting at now, thank you.

Steve
