We used DNN (7.03.04) for intranet only and use the AD authentication module so users are signed in automatically once they've authenticated on the network. This works almost 100% of the time, but sometimes they use the logout button of the portal or the automatic login doesn't work. In either case they are land on the logon screen that has two tabs - one for the standard and one for the windows logon. Although the windows logon tab is the first one, for some reason having both tabs confuses some people.

Since I'm the only one to every use the standard logon to logon as ADMIN or HOST can this tab be removed and still allow standard login from some other page?

Also while looking into this, I went into ADMIN > Extensions > Auth Systems > Default Authentication.

I touched nothing, saved nothing but now CAPTCHA is turned on. I untick the option, save it, but it refuses to remove it. Which table stores this captcha setting so that I can go in there and remove it.

Thanks!

I think that you can turn off the standard login with a configuration setting. (It's been a while since I've used the DNN AD module.)

As an alternative, you might want to look at the Glanton suite of AD modules for DNN. I have used them and like them.
