I'm trying to create a User Admin security role with the goal of giving users in that group permissions to add/update/delete user accounts.
There is a built-in Administrators role which I don't want to use because that would allow making other changes to the web portal as well.
I created a custom "User Admin" security role, changed the Page Management settings to allow the new role to view "Admin" page and "User Accounts" page. I also changed the "Users and Roles" module's options and added Edit Module permission to "User Admin". Now whenever a user who belongs to the "User Admin" security role tries to log on, they can see the Admin | User Accounts on the menu, and can also see the "User Accounts" page with Edit and Delete icons, but when they try to edit any user account, the Edit screen pops up with an error message:
"You are not authorized to edit this user."
Not sure if I'm missing anything else?
