Are there tutorials on how to use the core API's to interact with DNN?

There are not lots of step by step guides to the api.

But ... there is a "help file" that documents the api and is available in the same location where you download DNN.

If you are old fashioned ... I recommend some books: Professional DotNetNuke 4, Professional DotNetNuke 5, and Mitch Sellers' Professional DotNetNUke Module Programming. The latter two are available in Kindle editions.

The "4" and "5" books spend a lot of time exploring the "innards" of DNN and a lot of the design philosophy. While both are old, at least in terms of the current version of DNN, they are still quite relevant. If you can find "4" it is a useful book still.

I'm not clear on what you want to do, so any explanation or expansion you can provide would be helpful.
