I have a client with a non-cms site that uses Google Translate to translate the pages into many different languages. They want to "convert" the site to a new DNN site so I need to know if I can still use Google Translate in the same way (and if so, how).

Thanks

I have not used Google Translate on a site. But, it's my understanding that it works by adding a meta-tag and a script to each page. So, the simple answer is that is should work.

I put the Google Translate feature on this page of a test site: http://jncraig.com/test/Home/tabid/...fault.aspx

You can take a look and see how it works.

That test page looks like it does what I need. THanks a lot. Is this where you got the metatag and script?

Yes, filled in the details and clicked the "Get Code" button.

The meta tag can be entered in page settings.

I placed an HTML module at the top of the page and pasted the script in the Advanced Settings, Header part of page settings.

To do this on a site and have it part of every page, I'd probably suggested building this into the site's skin. You can use the Style Helper Skin Object from 40fingers.com to simplify adding this stuff to the skin. Probably also put the script in a script file that can be referenced easily.
