Moving DNN from Live host to Local Machine

Hi Guys,

I saw the tutorial on how to do it and I was able to accomplish it "Thank You". But my current DNN installation is all screw up do to multiple moves from server to server that my hosting company did. I currently can't edit none of the portals nor I can install a new module.

Since I cannot edit the my host settings an not able to add the localhost as a valid alias. Is there any other way to add it?

Can I do a fresh install of DNN on the same database backup from my hosting company and restore the portals manually?

You can add the alias directly to the database PortalAlias table if you have access to the SQL Server.
