I used to be able to load something onto the server and then link to it through hyperlinks by browsing the server and locating it.

Today I realized I could locate the browse server button anymore.

What I am trying to do and I got half way there, is to load an html page (which I did in File Manager), but now I am trying to link to the page, but can't seem to get there. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Which version of DotNetNuke are you using?

Which editor are you using?

Again, I think this is tied in with the IE9 issue (I have the same problem with IE9 but I generally use Firefox so not an issue for me). Now that you've downgraded back to IE8, this probably isn't an issue.

I believe I have the RadEditor by Telerik. In my older version which I still have one site running I was able to "Browse Server" locate my file in the File Manager and link to it. Now I can't locate that function.

Any more ideas?

Hmmm, so still not working even though you downgraded IE? Does switching to the FCK Editor help?

You need to edit the web.config file in the root (make a backup first!), find < htmlEditor defaultProvider="TelerikEditorProvider" > and change it to < htmlEditor defaultProvider="FckHtmlEditorProvider" > Note that i have added a space after the "<" and before the ">" in orde to post here, do not enter the spaces in the web.config file. Hopefully, all these issues will be resolved in DNN 6.0 currently due around the end of June.

Switching to the FCK editor will give you back the interface that you are used to seeing.

As Pingle noted, DotNetNuke 6 will let you choose which editor to use and also do some editor configuration using the administrative interface.

I can also point out that there is a provider for the "CK Editor," and updated version of the FCK Editor. It is available on Codeplex.com.
