Can the Telerik RAD editor toolbars be configured / linked to user permissions and content areas? For example, an administrator would see additional tool bar functionality in a given content area and an editor would see fewer toolbar options in the same content area.

I believe this is possible using roles at least it was in the days of the fckeditor where you could customize your tools in the toolbar based on user roles giving someusers less tools than others.

Perhaps you could even copy the xml file that shows the various tools in the toolbar save it as a different name and serve this up only if user x has x role, etc... This last solution I actually doubt is really realevant but I certainly would think their is some way to approach it via the first solution via the use of roles somehow anybody else have any information if the telerik Rad editor can be minimilized based on role.

Hi Marshall, Lee has done some tutorials in issue 59. I remember Lee saying that the Telerik RAD Editor lacked the functionality of the FCK Editor in this respect. Not sure if this has changed in new versions since then.
