I see from this thread that there is a problem in DNN v4.4 for skins (you can't use the drop-down actions token on the containers and you have to use the solpart actions token). As I use Housemenu and wish to upgrade to DNN version 4.4 I have a few questions relating to this:

1) I last night posted a message about this bug to the official DNN forums about this to see if was addressed in v4.4.1 and "Isomies" of www.obrienit.se replied saying that s/he "fixed" this bug in 4.4.0 by "recompiling the source code version of the whole solution" (something I don't want to do nor do I know how to do!) but that they also noted that dropdownactions is working fine now working with v4.4.1. My question: Does anyone else have dropdownactions working fine in 4.4.1?

2) If the bug has not been fixed in v4.4.1 there is another work-around (mentioned elsewhere on these forums) and that is to use v1.3.0 of the HouseMenu. My second question is: Housemenu v1.3 apparently has had issues with IE7 (which were addressed in v1.4 beta) so if I go back and start using v1.3 of Housemenu will visitors visiting my site using IE7 have issues?

3) Am I right to assume a CSS skin (one that uses House Menu) and a that a skin that uses SOLPART menu can be used on the same website but on different pages? For example can I have all non-admin pages using a CSS skin and all admin pages using a skin based on the SOLPART menu?

Thanks in advance for any clarification that can be provided to the above 3 questions.

Just saw this post for the first time from Lee which confirms that the 'drop-down actions' issue is apparently fixed in v4.4.1. Has anybody upgraded to v4.4.1 and see the 'drop-down actions' working as expected?

And any answer to my question 3?

Cheers.

Hello eoghano

#3 Yes you can use Housemenu and Solpartmenu together in the same site and even on the same page, if required.

Hello,

#2 - where I stated to use house menu version 1.3 .0, this was not related to the {DROPDOWNACTIONS] bug. The house menu bug was not displaying the menu correctly in the simple red leaf skin, which is why I said to use version 1.3 .0.

Version 1.3 displays correctly in IE7 as long as you do not use fly out menus. If you use a menu such as the one programmed for the simple red leaf skin, everything will display correctly in IE7.

However, if you wish to create a menu that  displays similar to the SolpartMenu then you'll need to use version 1.4 beta.

Hope this makes it clearer,

Hello,

I've just had a look at the [DROPDOWNACTIONS] token in 4.4.1 and it's still not fixed from 4.4.0.

After upgrading I noticed my upgraded site worked with this token, but a fresh 4.4.1 installation does not. Looking in the bin folder of the fresh 4.4.1 installation i noticed that there was not a DotNetNuke.DNNDropDownNavigationProvider.dll file.

So I opened up an old 3.x version of DNN copied this file and pasted into the 4.4.1 bin folder and all of the tokens now work.

Thought this might be useful for anyone else having this problem.
