The menus are part of your skin. You can place multiple instances of a menu in your skin. No modules are needed.

I'll put in a plug here, too, for Mark Allen's DDR Menu. It is free, and you can download it at DNNGarden.com. It is a plug-in replacement for SolPart and DNN Nav menus. It provides lots of additional options. I'm using it on a site that's being developed to implement a "mega menu" and also a "fat footer."

Hi Joe,
Yes but I want them to be separated, I can dispaly same menu on both menus or display childs on one of the menu.
And do I click on a differnet menu that doesent have childs the menu disapers.
I need them to be totaly separated menus, is that a option?
I watched Lee´s video "Nav-Menu" and it dident realy work the way I need.

Best Regards

Tell me more about the second menu.  What is it supposed to show?

I need one menu at the top of site, and one menu under the siteheader, the top menu is the second one and should have different menus and point on different pages/subpages then the first menu.
many sites have this (http://www.ths.se) is one example. I have done this with DDR menu but it is not adminfriendly, have to use a unstable beta module to filter out the menus from each outher. Is there a simplier way to do this?

Best regards

The standard menu can be configured as to which menu items are shown using the Level and ExpandDepth attributes. For example, you should show only the top level items in the horizontal menu and show children in the left column.

In the example that you cite, the home page has a single menu. When you go to any of the pages in the menu, that page has a second menu with the children of the selected page shown. You would set the horizontal menu to start at the root and show only one level. You would set the vertical menu to start at the current level and show what you want.

There is also a "Child Links" module from Ventrian.com that can be used to show the child menu.

There is also NavXP from Avatar Software that install like a module, can be configured a number of ways. If you don't want to set up the menu in your skin, but would prefer to do it as a module, that might be a good choice.

And, I don't think that it's fair to refer to the DDR Menu as an "unstable beta module."  I'm using it with great success and no instability on several projects.  Mark Allen, its developer, is quite responsive.  And ... it is FREE!

The other choice that I like is the Snapsis CSS Menu from snapsis.com.

Lots of good choices.

If you are using DotNetNuke 5.4, you also have access to the Telerik RAD Menu.

It´s not the DDR menu that is unstable its a module named DSTabLocalizator I used to filter/hide tabs, its a beta so far, DDR menu is stable and works great.
I think I try NavXP and see what I can do.

Thanks!
