I am adding extra fields to the user profiles. I want to link the profiles to a list I have generated (Days_Of_Week) (Any, Mon - Sun) Is their any instructions on how to do this Similarly - does anyone know how set a default country - e.g United Kingdom Thanks Dave

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do with the profile.

The default language is set on the Site Settings page.  That will actually determine the default country.

Hi Joe In the profiles setting things like the Country (where the person lives) is linked to the Countries List If I was nuilding a site about Astrology I could ask people to enter their Star Sign. But ideally would like to link that to a list (Aries, Pisces etc) Hope that makes sense :-)

You can create a profile property that is dropdown list.  Is that what you mean? 

A tip regarding country, if you do not give the option for the user to fill out their country it will automatically fill out the country based on their computer location.

You can test this out with a default DNN installation using the standard register page.

Hi Joe Precisely - I had created a List and a Property and hoped to link the two. So are you saying create the Property e.g StarSign and some how define it as a list? more... Brilliant - this was the kick start I needed 1. Add New Property Detail 2. Property Name - StarSign 3. Data Type - List 4. .Next - Asked to Enter Values Aeries, Pisces etc Bingo
