What I need is a way to get a RSS feed from Bring2Mind’s DMX module so that I get to see only the latest documents that are added. I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this. I see some codes (I am not a programmer) that says XLS to HTML but I don’t really know how to use it. You had also mentioned about a file RSS911 file in a specific folder but when I look for it, it is not there.

Can you tell me how I can get the RSS feed ( the RSS feed in the DMX is broken, says Peter Donker) to work please? If I do have to use the XLS codes, what exactly do I do with those codes? Save them into a file? What would the filename.ext be?

Thanks so much,

 JR

Hello,

Go here:
http://www.dnncreative.com/Tutorial...fault.aspx

Look at example "Limiting the Number of News Items Displayed"

This will display the latest items from the RSS feed in the DotNetNuke News Feed Core Module.

If Peter says that the RSS feed for his module is currently broken, then I can't provide a way for you to fix it, you will need to get the fix from Peter.

Thanks,

Sorry Lee. I needed an answer fast and that's the reason for the email. I have less than 24 hours to find a fix. In any case I apogize. As for the RSS feed being broken, I wasn't really looking for a fix to the DMX module, I was just trying to use XML/XLS module as a work around. But, I will take a look at the link you mentioned above. Take care and thanks for the prompt response.

Lee, I do not see a file by that name; RSS91.xsl. I am running versions 4.9.5 and also 5.2.3. These are the only files (and folders I see in the News folder under /DesktopModules/News.

Directory App_LocalResources
DNN_NewsFeeds.dnn.config
EditRss.ascx
loadlater.js
module.css
Directory Providers
RssModule.ascx
Settings.ascx
Directory Transformations
Uninstall.SqlDataProvider

Thanks

Not sure where you have seen the filename mentioned of RSS91.xsl?

If you look at the tutorial link mentioned above it provides some files for configuring the display of the RSS feeds within the News module.

However, this will not be suitable for fixing any RSS feed errors in the DMX module.
