I have a skin I just bought and installed on my localhost. When I go to change the logo via Site Settings>Appearance, I select the new logo and click update. This is the same thing that the skin vendor says to do. But, the logo does not change. I've tried clearing the cache, restarting, everything I can think of. Could there be some setting somewhere that is preventing the tokens from updating? Any thoughts much appreciated. Thanks, John

Just for fun, does the LOGO work when you use Minimal Extropy as the skin?

Are you using an HTML skin or an ascx skin?

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the skin, taking care to make sure that all of the files are deleted when you uninstall?

Joe,

Yes, the LOGO does work when I use Minimal Extropy.
The skin is an ascx skin.
The vendors say it works fine on their end.
I should also say that the JQuery slide show on the top right is not functioning either.  I dont even see the default images come up, but I do see the images stored in the skins folder.

Any advice much appreciated!

Thanks,
John

Other than guessing that there is something in your custom skin that kills it ... I'm not sure what to say.

I'd start by removing the jquery stuff and seeing if that helps.  Then, you can start putting things back.  The LOGO object doesn't do anything that is particularly fancy.

I would also double check that the code for the logo is placed in the skin.ascx file.

Have a look to see if you have this code:

< dnn:LOGO runat="server" id="dnnLOGO"  / >

I'm sure you've done this, but be sure you click on the "upload selected file" link under the Browse button and then "update" at the bottom of screen.
