This is driving me insane.

On my site, the apostraphes keep showing up as "?"

If I edit content in the module.. they are fine.. Nothing special in the code.. just straight text.. Then I click save and it's fine for a while.. Then a day later or so, they are all question marks again. It's driving me insane!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that sounds really strange, what is in the source code for a page when it has changed to to ? do they display as '

Can you give us a URL to an example page that is displaying ?

Well, I think I figured out the problem but I still don't fully understand. The Text/HTML modules .. I copied content from Adobe InDesign and pasted it into the modules. Even looking in source mode I see NO formatting issues what-so-ever.

So I don't know how hidden characters could have "snuck" in.
To fix the problem I deleted all of the HTML/TXT modules, and created new ones and typed everything in again without copy/pasting from InDesign.
I don't understand this problem fully, but I wish that I did in case it comes back!

So I can't show a URL either since I fixed the problem..

This is still an issue though if you g uys have any ideas as to a fix.

If you are copying and pasting, try using the copy as notepad button in the FCKEditor - this strips out everything except the text - very useful if pasting from word docs, so it should also work for InDesign

I just applied Sebastian's fix to a 5.2.0 site that showed copyright symbols a question marks. After running the SQL script, clear the cache and restart the application on the Host Settings page.
