Hi,

I did a search in my site and noticed that not all the results were showing the container titles. So I went through the site and updated the container titles on all the pages, then did the search again. For some reason the search results are still not pulling in the new container titles. I cleared my browser cache, the site cache, and restarted the application pool and nothing is updating the search results. Could you look into this and fix why it is still pulling the old container titles still?

Please help.

Thanks.

Go to the Schedule page under Host and make sure that the DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngineScheduler task is enabled.

I guess that one of the questions is whether or not the scheduled task has actually reindexed the site.  You can check the history link next to the task to see that.

Also, you might want to review this tutorial:

My Site Search does not seem to pick up Titles. Is there a fix for this?

Titles of what?  Pages, Modules, etc.?

This blog post explains how the DotNetNuke search works (or how it worked when the blog post was written).  You can also view this tutorial:

How to Setup and Configure the DotNetNuke Core Search

There are replacement Search modules that provide more flexible and customizable search.

It appears as though the search does not pick up the titles of the modules. to be honest, I do not use the DotNetNuke core search, I is a third party module for this, you may once checkout:

Xepient Solutions Open-SearchEngine v2.0 Review for DotNetNuke

We use that module for the search on DNN creative, thanks,

Thanks Lee.
Good to know I wasn't doing anything wrong.

Also I posted this over on the "Printer Friendly" page (http://www.dnncreative.com/Forum/ta...ult.aspx), but haven't received an answer:

"I have watched your tutorials Lee and have gotten the Printer Friendly pages to work via "@media print".  But, I want to also be able to print an individual module, so I have set up DNN's printer friendly option.  My question is how do I receive a Printer Friendly page after I click on  the printer icon (Print)?  It opens a new page, but it is not printer friendly.  I basically want to know how to combine the two Printer Friendly methods."
