I have setup the site log to go for 30 days in both Host and Admin settings.  However, when I go to Admin->Site Log and run any of the reports for the last thirty days it says there are "No Records Found".  It seems it is either not logging or I have some settings incorrect.  Anybody know how I can fix it?

Thanks!

When you visit the SiteLog page does it state

"Your Hosting Provider Has Limited Your Portal To 30 Days Of Site Log History."

If it does you should know that your settings are correct for enabling the logs.

To display a log,
In Report Type select "Page Popularity" and then click on the display link.

Does this help?

I'm currently running the latest version of DNN 5.2.3 on multiple installations. The event viewer only shows me login success & failure and general exceptions. Site log is not populating data such as module update, tab updated, module deleted etc like it used in previous version of DNN like 4.9
Did this logging get moved elsewhere?

You might want to review Site logs, Event logs and Scheduler.

I've reviewed the tutorials (fantastic collection of DNN tutorials btw) and verified my settings: Host-Host Settings, Site Log History -> set to 10 days. Admin-Site Settings, Site Log History ->set to 10 days. The Admin Site Log option indicates "Your Hosting Provider Has Limited Your Portal To 10 Days Of Site Log History." But regardless of filter selected, the message displayed is that No records were found. I verified with SQL Server Management Studio that dbo.SiteLog is in fact an empty table. So nothing is being logged... any suggestions?

There is a pair of radio buttons that determine whether the site log is maintained in the database or the file system.  Check to make sure that isn't set incorrectly.

The radio button is set correctly Site Log Storage to Database (DNN 5.5).

Is the site log history set to 0 on the Host Settings page?  You have to have a non-zero value there or no site log will be kept.

The site log history is set to 10 days and site log buffer set to 1 item. I have nearly the same log settings on another DNN install (5.01.01) and portal log appears to be working correctly (portal:30 days, host:60 days instead of 10 and 10 both w/buffer set to 1). ... I just noticed another difference, the Enable Site Log Buffer was selected on the site that was working and not selected on the other. I selected it and checked the log for the first time today - apparently it started working yesterday morning. I wish I knew what was preventing it from working. Hmmm... it's working now though, thanks Joseph, I appreciate your help.

Gents, I have exactly the same problem. All my site and host logging setting seem to be set correctly but I still am getting no log entries. (DNN 5.04.04) You mention enabling the Site Log Buffer. Can you tell me where to find that setting?

Host Settings, in the Other Settings section.

Perhaps it is a version difference. I don't have radio buttons to "Enable Site Log". What I have is an edit field labeled "Site Log Buffer" and I have that set to 9999. I still don't get any log records.
