Hi,

I just wondered if anyone knows if there is a way to have a different home page dependant on whether or not the user is logged on or not.

Basically, we have decided that we are showing way to much content when not logged on.

What I want to do is give users access to just a main home page which gives details about the site when they are not logged on.

Once they are logged on they will see the normal home page with lots of content on it.

I will be preventing them from seeing all the other pages as this is easily sorted, but it is just the home page that I am stuck with.

Many thanks in advance.

The easiest way to solve this situation is to add multiple modules on a single home page and allow only registered users to view the contents of those modules. You can assign the permissions of the modules under Permission section in Module settings.

In this way you can prevent users (those are not logged in) from certain contents and allow only registered users to view the rest of the contents.

Not only the easiest way, but I'd say it's the preferred way.
