Hi,

To speed up initial loading speed of the site , I have received one of the suggestions  , that it is beneficial to remove “CopyRight” provided at the bottom the page.  But suggestions are silient about “Terms Of Use  and Privacy Statement”

If the DNN site becomes slow due to above mentioned items, than it creates Doubt :-

Is DNN sites are  suitable for sites having more than 10-20 pages

Your Comments please !

Regards

Pooja

Well, I think that removal will have a minor effect on loading time.

DotNetNuke is quite suitable for sites with 10-20 pages, and for sites with thousands of pages.

The biggest improvement for "initial" loading time is to use a keep-alive service to keep your site active.  Appropriate setting of the cache parameters is probably second in importance.

Hello,

You have confused the suggestions together.

They were - 1) speed up the initial page load of your site by using a pinging service

2) Remove the copyright notice in the source code that refers to DotNetNuke as you do not need to display it in your source code. (This is different to the Copyright text that is displayed on your skin.)

There is no limitation on the number of pages a dotnetnuke site can handle, we have a lot more than 20 pages on DNN Creative.

Thanks. Now I understand which copyright notices you are mentioning. But can any one mention how to locate it and how to remove it ?

The DotNetNuke copyright is controlled by a checkbox on the Host Settings page.
