hi, lee

I just finished coding in the codes from issue 12
how to create a horizontal submenu

I am up to video 4,

however, I cant see the actual submenu when i click on home,
do i have to create them somewhere else

note: the coding is already implemented, although I not sure if its
fully correct

as far as I am concern i have to create each submenu for each
page tag

I am a little tire so I will be checking for a response the next day.

I work night shift......

Hello,

I would go through video 4 again and look out for the section on 'scope' and entering the tabid into the skin.xml file.

You need to enter the tabid in for your home page to show the submenu of the home page. - If you have taken the code from the download you will need to change the tabid to match your DNN installation as it will be different to my DNN installation.

Hope this makes it clearer, thanks,

hi lee,

I just finished browsing through the folder that comes
with this issue and I was wondering if button/folder is necessary
for this tutorial

i have not seen anything using a folder button at this stage (video 4)

Hello,

The button folder is only needed for the final tutorial where we use buttons to create the graphics. In the first part we just use CSS code to create the button effect.

For video 4 you should be using the code from the folder named 'Simple Red Leaf Horizontal Sub Menu'

It maybe worth just watching all of the videos to get an idea of how all of it is put together and then go through them one at a time.

Thanks,

I actually got it working

but the menu is not showing horizontal but vertical
this only occurs within explorer while in firefox it does work
but with a large space on the left side margin

I tried finding the correct coding in my css file of this marginal error

note: when float: left is deleted it looks fine but not exact

I enjoy watching your videos and always start from the beginning

(forget about the question i previously posted)

Hello,

I'm just putting the finishing touches to the videos for issue 15, so on Monday I'm going to try and put together a video on working with the web developers toolbar and troubleshooting skins, so hopefully this should help you out and I will be able to put it in issue 15 - release on 1st November.

Thanks
