Linking Repository to File Sharing Host

I'm having a problem with my hosting provider about storing video files on my DNN site. I want to use the Respository to allow users to store files, some of which may be video files which they prohibit. Is there any way to tie the upload process to an offsite file sharing provider and have the repository work seamlessly as if the files were local? If so does anyone have a recommendation for a service provider that will work in this manner

I have not come across a method for doing this, I just FTP videos to each server I require. It could be worth having a look around Snowcovered to see if there is a module that allows you to upload to an external server.

If you manage to get this working, Amazon S3 hosting is good.

Thinking about it, I do know that Biz Modules Ultra video gallery has a section for uploading the videos to Amazon S3 hosting, so that could be worth checking out.

PS. was given this link today which is for DNN5 - ok you wont be able to use it till DNN 5 is stable, but it shows the File Manager uploading files direct to S3 - pretty cool

also! - if you are FTPing to S3 - checkout S3Fox, a plugin for Firefox, makes it really easy for sending files to S3.
