I am new to DNN,  I have a question regarding the content management after you host your website. we have our own web servers where we host our websites.

I created a test website and then I noticed that if I want to edit the content of the website as admin or any other registered user, how can I do that. I don't  want to put the login / register link on the homepage. Like other CMS where you have a manager to login and chang the content, how does this work with DNN.e.g if you have website like www.abc.com and when you want to change the content you have www.abc.com/manager etc. I hope you get my question?

I would really appriciate if I could get an answer soon.

ok, if you do not want to put the login links on your page, you can add the following to a URL and it will take you to the login page:

Normal page link:
http://localhost/dnn434/Home/tabid/...fault.aspx

Login link:
http://localhost/dnn434/Home/tabid/...fault.aspx

Hope this helps, thanks,

Dear Lee,
Thanks for your earlier quick response. I must say I like this website very much. It is one of the best DNN resource available on the net.

I have some more basic questions.

1. I want to get rid of Dotnetnuke directory I have seen a post about this problem, my question is can Create folder with different name instead of calling it "DotNetnuke_2" while installing the dotnetnuke4.3?

2. I have downloaded the video tutorial for Skinning, are they for dotnetnuke 4.3 or older version? because i can see the a folder called dotnetnuke3.2 in the video.

thanks in advance and looking forward for a another quick response.

Hello,

Glad you find the site useful.

1. You can name the folder anything you wish

2. All of the skinning tutorials will work with all of the latest versions of DotNetNuke. - None of the skinning techniques have changed.

Thanks,

Hello,

Currently there are not any videos on creating modules, and it will be quite a while before I can tackle the subject, so I have put together a page of resources to sites that have module development tutorials here:

Thanks,
