Query Regarding search fuctionality

Hi,
On my site we have the search feature(dnn:search).  Right now when we search, the search is done within that portal.  That works well for the regional pages but is it possible for the front page to search the entire site…all the portals?  I would not want to do that on the regional pages. The site is having 6 portals and a main portal.

Please help.

I believe that the Venexus search tools can be configured to do that.
