I did not have a plan to do the map, but I can add it to the list if there is a demand for it, thanks,

    Hi Lee,
yes, I would love to see a tutorial on the Map module, with some more info on accessing external data information (perhaps xml data?). Or using URL parameters as input to the module.

I have a lot of mapping data that I need to get overlayed onto the maps. To start with, just want to be able to display the map of a country whose code (FIPS) is in a parameter in the browser URL.
This would involve a live geocode read returning a boundary box. I can do this now externally to DNN using the http://middleware.alexandria.ucsb.edu/gaz geocoder service which returns a kml file specifying the boundary box.

I will be playing with this module over the next few weeks. Will check if there is a forum entry on this module to post what I learn.

    Lee,

I am very interested in a map tutorial too! I am creating an dnn app with the possibility to search several addresses of dealers in an area of an address given by the user.

    thanks,

    Hello,

Yes I did look at it but didn't get very far, at the time it appeared as though it had bugs and then they dropped supporting it. I will re-visit it and see if anything has changed.

I've used the Coding Staff module on a site and am happy with it.  It is easy to configure.

    Hi,
    I would also appreciate a map "how-to"-video.

    Kind regards,

It's been my experience that the DotNetNuke Map Module isn't the easiest thing in the world to use.  I have recently used Coding Staff's module and found it to be a good module.
