    Hi Guys,

I would like to know if there's any dnncreative training of how to make a website with subscriber and payment renewal automatically, do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks

We certainly don't have a recent tutorial on these issues. It might make a useful tutorial.

In the meantime, you might want to look at modules such as Data Springs' Dynamic Registration and Dynamic Login modules. They can help with the subscription and subscriber management parts.

I forgot to mention the old tutorial: http://www.dnncreative.com/DotNetNu...fault.aspx

The information should be mostly correct.

Some other options are here: http://store.dnnsoftware.com/home/p...bscription

I have a similar request, although details of my requirements probably push me to an app builder solution.

We run a local weekly newspaper (print), with a website containing all content, and augmented with online commenting, calendar, and forums. We maintain (in Microsoft Access) a subscriber database, from which we download a file each week what subscriber names and addresses used by the printer to address papers for mailing.

We have a primitive ability for users to subscribe online, but it is not linked either to the online account or to the Access database. That is what we would like to fix. We would like to give readers the ability to update their newspaper subscription on our DNN website, and to have their online subscription be updated accordingly. We do have a user group for subscribers, that give them access to premiium content, but we have to go in manually and maintain that, based on processed subscriptions.

We would like to move subscription management onto the DNN site, have it update the website user account, collect payment (and allow for automatic renewal), and be able to download the weekly subscribers file to send to the newspaper printer (cvs file).

What tool (or tool set) would you recommend? Recent checking of DNN app builders suggest the Onyak Tech suite may be the best bet. Are there other choices to consider?

    Thanks,

    Worth

My apologies for the delay in answering.

Yes, I agree that moving all of the user management features into DNN is the right way to go. I'm not familiar with the Onyak product, but they are a well known and respected vendor in the DNN community.

There are other modules you might find helpful, including some from Data Springs, Interactive Webs and ZLDNN. Browse at the DNN Store for more choices.
