When I upload the skin it shows no previews saying "No Skin Files Exist in Folder" when I select the skins Skin. It's as if it's not recognized. This happens even if I do no edits. I'm simply unzipping the DNN-Blue skin.zip and then rezipping it, then installing it. What am I doing wrong? It works if I just install the skins.zip file from the tutorial without opening it and rezipping it myself.
Oh also when I do the install, everything looks correct with the install process.

The skins.zip file really needs to be inside of another zip file, and the skin will take the name of the containing file. The other thing that could be wrong is installing a skin as admin and looking for it in another site, or installing as a host skin, and looking for a site skin. If you have access to the web directory, look in the Portals directory look for Skins directories in _default and the various portals to see how things are installed. |

Thanks, I found my answer on another sites forum. What I was doing wrong was I was zipping the folder of the skin, rather than zipping the contents of the folder. By the way, your search function on this forum doesnt seem to be working properly.

When I go into forum search, I type in "skins", and almost instantly I get a page of results, then it dissapears and goes to a blank search page. This is in ie7. |

I purchased a DNN skin and installed it. It is installed but does not show in the site or page skin drop down. |

I would suggest that you check with the skin's developer and verify that you installed it correctly. Did you use the Exension installation wizard? Were there any error messages. If you look in /Portals/_default/Skins you should find a folder with the skin's name. In that folder you should find the .ascx files at the top level. If not, something went wrong during the installation. |
