I am probably out of my league here, but need some help. I used to build web sites back in the day (notepad, then Front page) left the field and moved on, now I want to dabble back in, and create my own skins via dreamweaver - treat me as a beginner for both.

I need to know where i can get the extensions for dreamweaver, and also anyone have a good tutorial, or recomend a site that offers some basics for me to look through. I have created a few sites, and want to start creating my own skins and containers vs buying them.

thanks for any and all help.

    Hello,

Well you can create a skin using notepad, dreamweaver, or the free visual web developer express. - All of the same principles apply, you can basically use any programme.

You don't need the dreamweaver extensions to create a skin, your best bet is to actually learn the tokens and how they work with a skin.

I would recommend you start by looking at the skinning tutorials in Issue no 5 and 6

each issue builds on the knowledge from previous issues, so if you work through the skinning tutorials in issue number order, by the time you get to
    in Issue 27

you should have some advanced skinning knowledge under your belt, hope this helps, thanks,
