In one of the lessons or tutorials, I can't now recall which, I have to look for it, Lee mentions a "reduced" default.css which uses CSS shorthand instead of individually enumerating each style.

Is the "reduced" default.css available on this website up to date and compatible with DNN 4.7+??

I thought of this because I can imagine that each DNN version has a new default.css.

    Thank you, Tom

I entered 'default.css' in the search and could not find the article/tutorial/whatever that I recall mentions this topic of a 'reduced' 'shorthand' default.css.

If someone could point to the relevant article etc., that would be very nice.

    Thank you, Tom

     Hi Tom,

Yes the search on DNN creative does not completely work, I will hopefully be addressing this over the next month.

If you are looking for any of the skinning tutorials, its easiest to go to:
    http://www.dnncreative.com/Tutorial...fault.aspx

and scroll down to the skinning section.

Minimising and creating efficient CSS code

    and

Reducing the DotNetNuke CSS file sizes

    is what you need.

The default.css file has not changed for a long time. - But as it happens some changes have been applied in 4.7! - Basically they have cleaned up some of the invalid code, but you can still apply shorthand techniques to it and reduce the file size further. - It's worth comparing the version available on DNN C with the current version and then just apply any differences. - This should save you quite a bit of time.

    Thanks,
