I'm using the Events_03.03.08 module. I've used the Admin site settings to configure the portal for UTC +12 Auckland and the correct date displays on my site but the Events module remains convinced that I'm on Pacific time in Tijuana. I have politely explianed to this module (by making the change at module level) that I've never been to Tijuana but to no avail. It asks me to confirm that I want to change the timezone but when I go bakc it's still set to Pacific. Does anyone have any suggestions? (short of using a large hammer (which I keep conveniently next to my PC for occasions such as this))

There are several places where time zones appear. They include:

    1. The host's timezone
    2. Your profile timezone
    3. The Events module

You'll also need to make sure that the server is set to the right time.

    Check everything ... three times!

Hi, thanks. I've gone through Admin-Site Settings and checked that it's set to the correct timezone. I've gone in to Users and set the Admin profile to the correct timezone. I've gone in to the Events module, changed the timezone but, although it goes through the motions of making the change, the module remains locked into Pacific.
I can't do anything with the server - that's up to the hosting company. If the Events module is being governed by the geographical location of the hosting server then I simply can't use it.

    Hello,

Just had a look, I think they are trying to trick us ;-)

There are two areas in the events module where you need to set the time zone.

    1) go to the module menu / time zone update (admin)
    2) go to the module menu / settings / events module settings / general settings / event time zone

    That worked for me, thanks,

Thanks Lee, I received your email microseconds before deploying the hammer

Had it not been for the very obvious "Time Zone Update (admin)" option on the first menu, I probably would have dug deeper and found the second instance. Not exactly intuitive, huh?
It works for me too, now - thanks for your efforts.
