    I'm exasperated!
This morning the user could log into the website, now the user must log into every page.
Im running dnn7. The user is a member of a sub site, domain/subsite. (child of main site)
    Can anyone assit?
    Thanks

Which specific version of DNN 7 are you using?

What have you used to share users across portals.

    Hi George,
    thanks for your reply.
Im new to the dnn software so making some mistakes as i go along.
    I'm using version 07.02.02 (303)

As for the user admin, Im using the standard user module that comes with DNN - hope this makes sense?
    Cheers

    UPDATE
Im experiencing an issue with non host users in my child portals.

    1) If I Login as "host" everything works fine. If I change the registered user to host. Everything works fine.

    2) Login as a registered user and the process works as expected. Then click on any tab and the user loses authentication! In effect when a logged in user goes from one page to the next they have to login again! Everything worked fine earlier today.

    3) Checked this on multiple child portals and all of them, the same problem.

I have found the following possible solutions

    From PowerDnn support
The workaround that I've used previously for this issue was to create another portal alias using subdomain structure (xxx.xxxxxxxx.com). It'll have to be created in the control panel Websites and Domains > Domain Alias/Site Alias as well as on the DNN installation Host > Site Settings > Edit the portal > Site Aliases.

Fortunately, doing this still lets visitors come to the site using the subfolder structure. Only accounts that need to log in will have to use the subdomain structure, so people won't have to change bookmarks or anything and search ranking needn't be affected.
