    Hi Joe.

    Attempting to re-activates my Google Analytics, and have to reinstall the analytics code on all web pages.

    Is it still sufficient to put the code in a top HTML / Text module on each page?

    The process worked on a few websites, but gave me an error on the following one;
    http://www.goldcoastwebwiz.com/
    DotNetNuke Version: 05.04.02 (66)

    ERROR:

    Error: is currently unavailable.

    If you are using a later version of DNN, all that you need to do is go to the Admin, Google Analytics page and enter your tracking code. DNN will do the rest of the work.

    Thanks Joe.

    Is this a "later Version" - or it's getting a bit old?
    DotNetNuke Version: 05.04.02 (66)

    I will have a look under "Admin"
    So that will cover the entire website? Saving the work of adding code on every page right?

    What about "Child Portals" they would need to be entered separately?

    Oops, guess I'm 'thinking out loud' here.

    Have a Great one Joe...

    There is certainly a later version of DNN. We're at 7.1.0.

    Newer versions come with more up to date Google scripts. But, you can backfit those to your existing installation.

    The tracking code is unique to the portal, not to the installation.

    Yes Joe.
    Sorry for being un-clear.

    I know that's a very old version of DNN, keep contemplating whether to "Up Grade or "Crash" and start over.

    This version does have "Google Analytic" though, but it still through the below error?
    I did install on several pages, and it's only this one that play up.

    Cheers

    That seems like a file permissions error. Start by checking to see if that file's permissions are different than other files.

    You're right as usual Joe.

    Needed to tick the write permission in on the website.

    On this new site;
    http://www.designerfashion-boutique.../Home.aspx

    The code show's up when I check "View Source" but Google doesn't recognize it?
    I used Admin - Google Analytic" and entered the tracking code correctly, about 48 hours ago.4

    The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website.

    Cheers

    I would double check to make sure that the correct tracking code is installed.

    After that, hmmm.

    Thanks Joe - Yea I go "Hmmm" as well.
    Did enter the Google script on a couple of pages - but it won't register either.

    QQQ:
    Can I access the code on the site and remove the Google script??
    (I did attempt to get on to Google support - but that's probably a week long project.)

    Here's another Ghost I found in Google Analytic.
    (Maybe it can help someone out there.)

    QQQ;
    Can't we register child portals individually in Analytics?

    Main Site; http://www.mepys.com/Home.aspx
    Child portal; http://www.mepys.com/clothingandfashion/DesignerFashionBoutique.aspx

    They are both on different accounts in Analytics, but they are i8ntegrated and if I change one - I change the other???

    Weird stuff...
