Hi Again.. Are there any known issue with the Link module in DNN 6? I have a module to the right on this site; http://www.gcauto.com.au The Module is visible, but it doesn't show the content. The content is visible to Admin and Host only. I have checked and tested settings, and the module should be displayed to everyone. Cheers Olle... |

Yes, I saw. I'd need to look into the site as an admin to understand this. |

There is a feature (new, I think) in the links module that permits you to set permissions individually for each link. Olle had turned this feature on, but had not assigned each link to be visible to all users. They were only visible to administrators. I like this feature! |

Joseph, I ran into the same problem after the upgrade to 6.01. We have numerous Link modules inserted all over the site and they are coming up blank. I see the option in the module settings that you can check to enable "Use Permissions" in the Links settings tab. It is currently set to no. I've changed it to yes, saved, then back to no and the items in the links list do not appear. No matter what though, if I manually go to a link and give it the all user roles permission, it shows up. Not knowing how this is supposed to work, I really don't want to have to go to each link and make a change. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Hi Jason. To me it seemed like a setting for each individual link, I had to go through and set permission on them all. I also display the link module on several pages, but I use one module with the setting "show on all pages" activated. Joe will know better, but I believe you have to go through your links and update the permission individually. Cheers Olle... |

If you turn off the "Use Permissions" setting for the module, all of the links will be shown to everyone. If you turn that setting on, the links will be displayed based on role membership. |
