I have found a few things myself (or maybe missing things) that I'm considering before going back and amend the page.

It's mainly about the list building ability of the page, the DNN registration capture name and e-mail without the visitor needing to purchase anything. But that is not clearly articulated, and there on no free incentive for the visitor to register.

I am in the process of scrapping “Get Response” in favor of “A Webber” as list building tool.

What are the pros and cons, and what are the problems, if any, with these auto responders / Email Marketing tools within Dot Net Nuke?

 What system are commonly used in the DNN community, when it comes to keeping in touch with your subscribers.

 
Can I see any sample sites, using “Get Response”, “A Webber” or maybe other specific DNN-tools?

I use Aweber, I haven't used Get Response.

I find Aweber works fine, I did create a tutorial on setting it up here:

Pros - delivery will be good in comparison to sending the emails from your own server (if it is to thousands)
Cons - How does a user unsubscribe? - In reality this is handled in the email that you send to them, rather than their user profile

Your other option for a DNN tool is:
DataSprings Opt In Email Module

There is also an email delivery module by Onyaktech that will be worth comparing as well
