    ok, so I'm using:
    windows xp home
    visual web developer 2005 express
    sql server 2005 express
    2.0 .net framework
    DotNetNuke 4.9.0
    Housemenu 1.4.1

after installing the default DotNetNuke website and adding serveral menu items/pages everything works fine.

so then I install the Housemenu skin object ok with no errors

then I install a skin to include the [HOUSEMENU] token and this happens:

all menu url are ok except the 'Home' menu url - which refers to a url that doesn't exist eg:

    Home goes to
    - http://local/mywebsite (incorrectly)

    all other menu/pages go to
    - http://localhost:1234/mywebsite/men...abid...... etc (correctly)

Can anyone explain or help to resolve this?

    hello,

I have not come across that problem before, but in my local installations I always have the URL of http://localhost/mysite/etc. - I suspect it's a problem with the house menu code rather than your skin code.

    Thanks,

You would need to install DNN running on IIS - ie. from Windows XP Pro or Vista Ultimate.

XP Home doesn't have IIS, so you can't get around the port number issue in that OS.
