No Page Templates will show up in my new DNN 4.09 installation.

Below is my mail to ReInvent Hosting:
    www.mudgeerabahilltons.com
                      Any Ideas??

I can’t find my page templates:

Should I still be using “mudgeerabahilltons.com” as the FTP upload address?

In the page set up window I have several optional folders to find my templates.

Some of these folder options are old page skins that should not be in this installation at all.

I have uploaded a new page template (MHR_And09.page.template) at several locations, but can’t find any through the page creating window.

By default it points to the Templates/ folder, which currently includes both the above template and the DNN template (Default.page.template).

    Please advice urgently!!!!

PS. The new page template shows up in the list when I create new Portal.

Of cause it gives the error that it is not a valid Portal template.

Should be in Portals/_default/Templates and also in Portals/N/Templates where N is a number for each of your portals.

    Thanks Joe

Yes the templates is in the Portals/_default.
The standard DNN template are also in the Portal template folder, and I now added my new template to the Portal Template folder.

This is a new DNN installation on the server, and Reinvent omitted the dotnetnuke folder while installing. Thus the folder path is changed as follows:

    To ReInvent:
You have not installed the “DotNetNuke” folder this time, thus the path is:
    /MudgeerabaHilltons/Portals/_default/Templates

    Rather than:

    /MudgeerabaHilltons/dotnetnuke/Portals/_default/Templates

Don’t know if that would have any effect on DNN’s ability to find templates??

You do not need a dotnetnuke folder - it should be how re-invent have installed it

    Thanks Lee
Funny though that now templates showed up in the Site Installation options, not even the default DNN template.

The templates are in the folders when checked over Cute FTP.
I can also see them listed when I create a new Portal.
But when I set up a new page there are now templates listed.

Do I have the template names right with double dots?
    Tea2U_SBreeze.page.template
    MHR_And09.page.template

    Cheers

Interesting. . . I've just been testing this in 4.8.9, 4.8.4, 4.8.2 and have the same problem.

When adding a page the template folder is set to templates
The Page Template drop down list does not even show the dnn default page template - adding any further templates into the templates folders also does not show up.

I tried going to the file manager in both admin and host menus and selected synchronise recursive but that also did not solve the problem.

    OK Lee.

Guess this one is above my head.

I leave it with you wizards and you probably find a solution.

    Cheers.

just to follow up, this is the response from Sebastian Leupold:

this is an issue in DNN 4.8.0-4.9.0, which has been solved in 5.0.0, but unfortunately not backported to 4.9.0.

I dont know if this tip will help you, but helps me:

I put one file with all uppercase extension (foo.page.TEMPLATE) into template-folder under portal.

After that I can get files in the dropdown list after choose Templates/ for Folder .

Template still starts with NONE SPECIFIED but click onto dropdown list and all files can be seen.

Maybe this helped - maybe was just cache-problem.
I dont know - but I am happy it works now.
