Hi all

I'm new here, not a coder and only new to DNN. I'm not sure we are adding the Adsense code into the page properly. We will only add it to certain pages (not across the whole web site). We have tried adding via html edit mode but it does not seem to 'take'. It certainly doesn't show up.

The page we have been testing on is: http://www.thewisetraveller.com/Art...ing-Travel

Some time ago someone told me I should use 'div' to place in scripts, but as I'm not a coder I'm not even close to sure where to begin with this.

Our original developer is no longer with us so have come here to see if someone can assist with this small bit.

Thanks in advance.

Richard

PS: Happy to provide screen shots or code if it would make things easier.

Hi Richard,

The best way to place code or script like Adsense through the site is by using a code injection module like this one:
https://wnsinj.codeplex.com/

If you still find it hard to setup, you may want to consider the professional services of http://DeskPal.com - They are specialized in DNN website support and they have very affordable rates. If you are looking at a long term engagement, they have Webmaster with unlimited support for $69.

Sincerely,
Andy

Hi Andy

Thanks for the quick reply.

We don't want to put it through the site as a broad requirement. We want to be very selective about which pages so it will basically be added manually to each page we wish it to appear on, which appears to be supported by your suggested module. My challenge right now is I'm not even sure what modules we actually have installed. I was hoping this would be a very quick and simple answer.

We have a new person helping us who literally came on last week and is working through a few things at the moment so didn't want to bother him with this if it were a simple answer. Seems its a little more complex than I had hoped.

Thanks again and I'll have him review.

All the best.

Richard

Hi Richard,

I have yet another suggestion: You can add the script code to the header setting of any HTML/Text module. That way the code will not break because of the editor. This is the simplest way. Just add the HTML/Text module to a page and add the code to its header settings under Module Settings.

Cheers,
Andy
