    Hey!

Did you notice the new skin, and new look and feel of DNN Creative? Behind the scenes we have upgraded DNN. The new skin is a responsive one, so we should look great on all of your devices!

Should you notice any things that we need to tweak, please let us know.

And, we are also working on a great series of tutorials. They are to be released monthly, and close to the first of the month.

You suggestions, comments, questions, etc. are welcome in the DNN Creative forums. Please contribute!

I'm so disappointed that I can no longer download and watch videos offline anymore. Now I have to always have a live internet connection.

I'm sorry that you are unhappy with our changes to the DNNCreative site.

We have made these changes to be more up to date with new video technologies and we need to cater for mobile users as well as mac users who cannot see our content easily.

I am pleased to see the redesign of your website which also serves to showcase the technology. I knew it was just a matter of time before you adopted a streaming video platform to replace downloadable files which has its' advantages, but is also cumbersome. However, the "viddler" media player UI does not provide the ability to replay content from a selected point in the recording. I have never encountered that before. The rewind feature is essential for training videos since it is often necessary to view a video segment one or more times to fully comprehend something before proceeding. So what gives here? Why is this not possible?

You will be happy to know that we have fixed this oversight.

You just need to wait for the video to load to be able to move forward and backward. You will know the video is fully loaded based on the "red" bar in the player.

I too am disappointed that the download feature is no longer available, as I view the tutorials at my leisure, via my laptop whilst I am away with no internet access.

I understand that you need to cater to mac and mobile users, but I am sure it would be appreciated by many if you also offer downloadable tutorials as an alternative choice for those of us who prefer to view offline or who have sporadic internet access.

    Thanks

I agree. Also very disappointed that I can't download videos for offline viewing.

This is my sad face (:<) I join the other forum members who are deeply disappointed in not being able to download the tutorial videos. Moreover, the older tutorial format provided references to other tutorials and related materials and topics. That format fit my learning style. The lack of references in the new format is a less effective learning platform for me. Surely there could be an option to expose references. For example, the first tutorial exposed with the skin tag mentions having created the skin a previous tutorial - but there is no link to that tutorial provided.

This is my smiley face (:>) I do recognize the need and applaud the effort to make the tutorials more current. The tutorials, coupled with local experimentation with DNN are my primary (and effective) DNN learning tools. Thank you for your efforts and support of the DNN community.

    John,

We do appreciate your comments, happy and sad.

Unfortunately we will no longer have downloadable videos.

We will certainly fix any missing references.

Also note the Files, Links, and Tags reference attached to all of the tutorials.

    Myra,

    First, welcome to DNN Creative!

I assume that you can view other websites with video and you do hear sound. Is that correct?

Which browser, and version, are you using?

Are you seeing any error messages at all? You might want to open up your browser's developer tools (usually that is F12) and look at the "Console" window for errors.

The drop down panels for your forum sections does not work in Chrome
