    DotNetNuke 5.2 was released yesterday.

The upgrade from 5.1.x to 5.2 is a semi-major upgrade. "NOTE: System requirements have changed in DotNetNuke 5.2.0. DotNetNuke requires SQL Server 2005 or above and .NET 3.5 SP1. Please upgrade SQL Server and .NET before installing or upgrading to DotNetNuke 5.2.0."

To add a bit more ...

5.2 also includes Telerik controls.  That's not of much use to most of us, but it will support better modules in the future.  There is continued debate and discussion as to whether or not the Telerik RADEditor is part of this.  I haven't yet seen anyone claiming to have it working in the Community Edition of DotNetNuke, but is is functional in the Professional versions.

There have been some issues with 5.2 related to upgrades.  I encountered one that was easily fixed, once I figured out what had happened.  I saw one minor error on another site, and that was likely a holdover.

Upgrading from 4.x to 5.x may require that you upgrade some third-party modules.  If you have such modules, you should check with vendors to see what needs upgrading, and if upgrades are available.

That said, 5.2 is quite nice and functional for me.
