Hello Lee,
I would like to know, in Video2, why do you create a NEW login, instead of using the one which has been restored with the database ??? I do not understand. Because, then, when I want to migrate my local to the prod, I will have to delete this account, right ??? (I did not check the other tutorial for local --> prod...)
Why not keeping this user, I do not understand...

I assume that you are referring to the new database login. I believe that the answer is that the login isn't part of the database, but is a property of the database server. Thus, even though the database is restored on the new server, the login name and password aren't also moved from the old server. |

Hello jncraig,
Thanks for answering. Yes, I am referring to the database login. When I restore it, the database login is also restored, as explain in the video tutorial. But Lee creates a new one, I do not understand the purpose... Could I use the one which is restored ???
