    Hello,

Currently there are not any videos on how to create modules. If you pop over to the DotNetNuke Resources section however you can see a list of the various tutorials that are available from other websites.

    Thanks,

Assuming you are using DNN4 and VWD and SQL Express, try the following link:

    http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNet...efault.htm

    Also make sure you read:

    http://forums.asp.net/1114393/ShowPost.aspx

Creating a module in DNN4 is much easier than with DNN3 but it still seems complex at first!

    Hi,

    For the site http://forums.asp.net/1114393/ShowPost.aspx
I am getting one problem. When I downloaded the starter kit and installed it.. I was expecting the
    DotNetNuke Web Application Framework template
in the New Web Site option of Visual Web Developer 2005. but could not get it.

So can't proceed with the tutorial.

    Please Help.

You can write modules for DotNetNuke in either VB or VC#. If you are seriously interested in learning about DotNetNuke modules, I recommend that you camp out for a few months or weeks at Michael Washington's adefwebserver.com site. The has an entire section devoted to DotNetNuke module development. He's also author of the Module Developer's Guide.

It depends what you are trying to achieve. - If you are trying to change the design, this is called skinning. If you wish to create a portal template - this will auto create a set of pages and modules for you.

This may clarify how DotNetNuke works:
An Introduction to the Principles of DotNetNuke

If you subscribe to DNN creative you will have access to all of the videos.
