    Hi Lee,

Again thanks for the tutorial on compliant XHTML, I now have some compliant pages at dnn.r495.com but if I check for the compliance of the CSS with Jigsaw (off the Firefox Developer's Toolbar) - Jigsaw itself fails with:

'Servlet has thrown exception:javax.servlet.ServletException: Timed out'

    Any ideas?

    With Best Regards
    Charles

    Hi Charles,

I just tested this and have the same problem, it's probably just a problem with their server, I would try again in a while.

York Uni eh? - yes I lived for 20 years just 8 miles outside of York so not a bad guess on the accent!

    Cheers,

    Lee

    Hi Lee,

I now have a compliant CSS as well

    1. add a few missing px to the /Portals/default.css and comment out a couple of Microsoft Shadow Filters, change all dimgray and dimgrey to #696969 - convert all colour names to lowercase (white etc)

    2. Comment out filter in HouseOfNuke css and comment out Mac IE5 hacks (Do all MAC people use Safari Now?)

    With Best Regards
    Charles

Great, for anyone else reading this, you can download a version of the default.CSS file for your DotNetNuke installation from this tutorial: Reducing the DotNetNuke CSS file sizes

The tutorial gives you compliant CSS as well as a smaller CSS file to give a small performance increase.
