Where do I get the PSD files for this skin? The post states the PSD's are available, yet I can't find a link to the download. Thanks!

You have to be a subscriber and you have to be logged in to see the download link.

And, it does appear that the PSD files are missing. Hopefully we'll get that fixed soon.

The skin does not interact well with Smith Cart buttons. All the buttons are blank...

It is often the case that modules need to be styled to match skins. The Clear Blue Skin includes styling for the Blog Module. While I haven't looked at this skin in detail, I imagine that you can add styles for the Smith Cart that match the skin.

If there is a site that I can look at, I'll be happy to see what I can figure out for you.

When you say that the buttons are blank, does that mean that the text on the buttons disappears?

If you drag your mouse pointer over the buttons, can you highlight the text? If so, that means that the color of text on those buttons needs to be styled to a different color. You will need to identify the classes for those buttons and change the text color.

I have worked with Rick at DNNStyle on a cusom project. I appears you have a relationship with him and DNNStyle. I have another project I would like to discuss this him/you. Let me know if there is an interest...

I have been unable to contact Rick directly.

As it says on the page: "Download Charleston Gold Skin Released on Friday, June 3rd." The free skins are being released one a week. So, check back in a couple of weeks for that one.

    This is really great!

Allthough I wounder can I edit the themes to fit what I need for my site?

For example remove "terms of use" and the search textbox and...?

I looked at the license with the skin but it seemed to be for when you have bought it from dnnstyle.
Or does the same rules apply?

Thank you guys for a really great site!

I don't believe that there are any issues relative to modifying the skin for your own use.

I have tried 2 of the skins, Clear Blue and Copper. I experience the same error with each. I add an HTML module and when I try to edit content, I get the message:

    Error loading "/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKStyles.asp?tabid-1830"

FCKStyles.asp is in the directory and I have no trouble when I use other skins. I am using DNN 5.6.1 (238) and the HTML module is up to date at 5.6.1

    Any ideas?

Is it looking for FCKStyles.asp or FCKStyles.aspx? It should be the latter, and you should not have a file named FCKStyles.asp.

I just installed Clear Blue on my test site and applied it to a page. I had no trouble with the FCKEditor. So, I'm not sure what is happening here. There doesn't appear to be anything odd in the skin file that could cause this sort of problem.

If you don't mind experimenting, you could edit your web.config file so that you use the Telerik editor and see if that causes a problem. We have a tutorial "How to Configure the Telerik RAD Editor in DotNetNuke" if you would like to try that.

Well this question is not about the Free Clear Blue Skin, but it's where your DNN Styles Skins link took me. I am looking for the Fashion Skin which was supposed to be released on June 23, but is still not available for download. Do you know when it might be available?

I am having the same issue. When I apply the free Charleston skin and attempt to edit the content of an html module, i receive

    Error loading "/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKStyles.asp?tabid=39"

These two very nice skins are created by the same company. Ths solution will probably apply to both skins. Has anyone figured this one out?

Please do the following test: Apply a Minimal Extropy skin to the page and see if the problem continues. Please let me know the result.

If the editor is really trying to load FCKStyles.asp and not FCKStyles.aspx, then ... this from the DotNetNuke forums might be helpful: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources...posts.aspx

Before making changes, though, please look at the relevant section of the web.config file and see if this line:

    DynamicStylesGeneratorPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKStyles.aspx"

    Says asp or aspx.

If it says asp, then it might simply be that you need to change asp to aspx. Try that first and see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks Joe, 2 answers. 1.) My error message does not actually say .asp - it does actually say .aspx. I mistyped my message above. 2.) simply changing the page to the minimal extropy skin resolves the issue. Which seems to point to the skin as the cause of the problem. The container choice is consistant throughout the test.
The web.config has the following line exactly: DynamicStylesGeneratorPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKStyles.aspx"

Thanks for your help. This is as yet unresolved.

What happened to the weekly free skin downloads? Skin were not down-loadable, as dates indicated, near the end of June. Now the dates have been replaced with TBC. Did something happen with the skin sponsor? I was looking forward to one of the skins to be release in Early July (Influential), but I guess that has changed. Thanks, Charles

I also am wondering what has happenned to the weekly releases of these skins. Have used a couple so far and love them. The "Simple Elegance" as very attractive and I have a specific application that would suit. What does TBC stand for? Thanx

I did not see an answer to an earlier post that asked the question regarding the license agreement for the clean green template, which states "I have purchased the skin from DNNStyle". I selected yes when in fact the skin was a free download to dnncreative members. I want to verify that we can use this free skin for our company production website since we are dnncreative members.

I think that you should check with DNNStyle on this for an authoritative answer.

    Joe,
I'm sure I'm not alone in valuing all that DNNCreative offers including the free skins, just want to make sure we can use them for our company production web site. I feel DNNCreative should take responsibility to clear up any questions regarding the licensing of the free skins to your members.

"DNNStyle was acquired by PowerDNN and all of their skins were donated to DNNCreative and may be used by anyone who has a DNNCreative subscription at the time in which the skins were released, however, the skins may not be redistributed to third parties. For example, you can use the skins for your projects and for projects you're doing for customers, but you may not give another developer the skins so that he can use them in his own project."

My interpretation is that YOU can use the skin for a customer's project, but you can't give the skin to someone else to use for their customer's project. To do that, one of the other parties needs to subscribe to DNNCreative and download the skin. Then it would be ok.

I am trying to get the PSD files for the skin Influencial. Has this been solved yet? I can't find them anywhere.

I haven't been able to locate any PSD files in the skins that are distributed here. But, the skins have all of the appropriate image files.

It seems that the dnnstyle.com site no longer exists. You could download the skin an try it on your test site.
