Convert a child portal to a parent portal

    Hi

    My host company doesn't allow me to create sub-domains. If I create a child portalk, so that I can see the portal online before it is ready to go live, can I then easily convert it to a parent portal with a domain name alias of the new domain name that the site will go live under. Then when I point the live domain name to the hosting company will the site be live.
