First, let me say that I'm a brand new user of DNN. I've been using Frontpage to make websites. but I was a real amateur with it too. I started learning DNN recently and watching the tutorial videos, which I'm finding very helpful. I still have a lot to learn though.

I installed the 'Map' module that came with DNN. I got through the 'general' and 'interface' parts so far although there's no guarantee that I did it right. I'm now on the 'data source' section and don't understand it at all.

Is there a tutorial to help me learn how to get through these steps? I don't mind learning it myself, but sometimes I can't find the right tutorial. Any help with this is appreciated.

I am not a fan of the DotNetNuke Map Module. I find the interface to be quite challenging.

If you just want a simple map displayed on a page, it's much easier to paste the Google code into a Text/HTML module.

I've also used the Coding Staff Map module. As I recall, it was quite easy to configure.

I did this and the map displayed fine, but the address is off by several blocks and when I try to get directions it takes me to the original (wrong) starting point. Even though I entered the right address, Google maps isn't showing the correct location. Is there anything I can do about this or is it just a Google issue?

I would check this by going to Google Maps and entering the address there.  If it is off there, it's a Google thing.
