Advologix made the change for business reasons. Salesforce.com is a billion dollar company with an incredible partner program that we leverage for marketing purposes, as well as their technology platform which will ultimately support the volume of users (10s of 1000s) we seek to have for our legal practice management product, with no effort on our part to support a technology infrastructure capable of supporting our user goals.

I'd loosely compare DNN and OWS together as somewhat comparable to the force.com platform in terms of application design technology capability but the immediate name brand recognition force.com gives us, also provided instant credibility in the market we are targeting with the AdvologixPM product.

I continue to utilize DNN and OWS for other projects including a new 100% DNN/OWS sales and marketing SaaS collaboration platform, Advologix's corporate web presence and we even develop complimentary products using web content management of DNN/OWS integrated with business applications deployed on the force.com platform.

So, while I have not lost any faith at all in the DNN/OWS combination to developing web applications, we consider each business endeavor on its own merits as to what technology makes the most sense for its ultimate success.
