    Hi lee,

I am currently working on issue 12 incorporating google adsense
I follow the tutorial step, however I ran into a problem while
Placing the adsense on certain places

The left side is working properly however the right side
    And the redleaf box aren’t

The adsense does appear but not on the right hand side but at the top
Of the text, this also occurs with the readleaf box container which does
Appear but not on the left nor the right but on top of the text.

note that I have added some of the features from issue 9
How to build a website on tutorial11, 12 styling text images, formatting
    Dealing with the fckeditor

To faster implement the images, quotes, and captions

I think this might be interfering with the adsense though I am not sure.

Here are the step I’ve taken:

    1. create html container file with google adsense code
    2. declared and entered the details for class and appropriate float detail.
    3. uploaded container

ok...now I got the right adsense working I think it had to do with the way I set up the files and folders
I am now going to make these same changes on the readleaf box files

    ok everything is working correctly

I think that having to many file in my _default container folder with the same files but different name
of the parent folder (kind of similar too) made things a little to complicated

so i decided to get rid of some of the folders and changed the names of the folders that
were not delete. thus i think that the dilemma had to do with the url or the names of the folder

since there were all so alike....is hard to explain......but once _default folder was organized
and the names were changed everything started to work.

Glad to hear you got it working. When testing out new techniques I always start with a basic skin, such as the basic version of the red leaf skin with none of the additional features - this makes it easier to test and find any problems / mistakes that I may have made.

Once I have understood how it works, I then implement it into a more complex skin.

    Cheers,

    Lee

I agree, it is something that I had to learn the hard way
I actually start with read leaf version from previous tutorial
    Which made things more complicated.

Base on my research and analyses (trial and error) I decided to
Use the original container leaf located on this page:

which has no addition declaration and method

my conclusion is exactly what you mention
start from scratch and work your self up.

Eventually the practicality or practice will educate
And implant the knowledge to your memory

    Thus, progression will take place
