Appararently only free on localhost domain.
So if you want to use it in a live environment, you still have to pay.

I purchased BackupScript and tried to get it working for 8 hours. The documentation is very poor, extremely hard to read, could not get any support, and have been unable to obtain a refund!
I am an experienced web developer but the poor english in the documentation was so bad that it was practically unintelligible. It is written in very choppy language and often had very confusing errors in it. Never could get it to work with GoDaddy, which is why I bought it in the first place.

This is the absolute BEST no-brainer backup module for DNN I've EVER run across. Installation was totally without trouble, operation is flawless, and have even had to perform a RESTORE in a production environment --- let me just say that it works AS ADVERTISED. I will not be caught DEAD without this module on my production sites!
