Hi I've put several sites live from local host and all fine. However, if I want to upload a file/image using the file manager, it is not working (they just don't appear). When I try to use new modules that have been preloaded I get the following error which I think is connected: Error: Events is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Access to the path 'C:\Domains\domain.co.za\wwwroot\Portals\0\\DNNEvents\Themes' is denied. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Domains\domain.co.za\wwwroot\Portals\0\\DNNEvents\Themes' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventInfoHelper.SetDefaultModuleSettings(Int32 ModuleID, Int32 TabID, Page Page, String LocalResourceFile) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.Events.LoadModuleControl() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- I am new to all of this and not sure if this is a set up issue in DNN or an issue with my hosting provider. Can anyone help please? Thanks

My best guess would be that file permissions to all of your installations directories is not correct. For correct operation, the "ASP Worker Task" needs to have full access to all files. As your messages seem to be related to errors creating files and/or directories, that would seem not to be the case.

Thanks Joe
Where can I find the "ASP Worker Task" to give it full access to all files?
And can I correct this on the sites that are currently live or only on new installations?

If you are on a hosted system, it might be easier/simpler to go through your host's support system.  If they know about DotNetNuke, they should be able to take care of it.

The iden y of the ASP.NET worker task varies from system to system, so we need to know which version of Windows your server is operating.  That said, it is ASPNET in Windows 2000 and NETWORK SERVICE in Windows 2003.  I believe it is also NETWORK SERVICE on Windows XP.  I can't recall if Lee enumerates all of the possible choices in the installation tutorials, but you could look there, too.

If you went through the standard install with DotNetNuke's Wizard, you should have seen results from the File Permissions test right at the beginning.  Do you recall seeing that?

Let me try going through the host support system. I think they are fairly familiar with DNN.
You have been most helpful. Let's hope the host can figure this out!
Thanks
