As usual your article provided new and useful content. I did have some explicit questions and comments:

  1. Does Google ever see the “Search Summary” to index it or is it only indexed by DNN?
  2. It might be helpful to specify the exact DNN search syntax, since DNN it documented very well.
    1. Dave Dotti will search for Dave OR Dotti
    2. +Dave +Dotti will search for Dave AND Dotti
    3. +Dave – Dotti with search for Dave AND NOT Dotti
    4. As far as I know there are no other options – Maybe you know some more?
  3. It is interesting that the Pager Options on the search page don’t work when searching Google – Yuk
  4. On your podcast videos I liked your using FeedBurner for RSS feed.  I have a similar use on my my Blog (a News Article module too) to use FeedBurner to allow customers to subscribe via email as a choice to RSS.
  5. I liked the Podcast videos, but would like to have heard the details of how you actually capture the audio and turn it into MP3’s

Great Job this month,

1) Only DNN for indexing
2) I'm not aware of the extended search syntax
3) pity, didn't notice that when trying it out
4) Yes Feedburner is great!
5) That would take a full set of tutorials on recording and production techniques, which is outside the scope of DNN Creative. I may consider doing it as a separate course for podcasts and videos as we have developed some good techniques over the years which I regard as insider secrets - the kind of information that has taken years of research and experimentation.

Cheers,

5. I wasn't expecting your to give up your trade secrets for audio and video recording.  I was hoping that you might suggest the easiest way to record an interview with two people in the same room and how one might to the same with a phone interview and then turn the recording into an mp3.

2.  I had to try Google's extended search syntax on my web site to get that much to add to the Help Page which has a little help for search.  I used Dave and Dotti for the examples because I knew that there were pages with each one and some with both.

BTW the issue I was able to enter this from FireFox with most of my extensions disabled. Now I'll have to figure which one is effecting my posting on your site only.

5) The answer isn't that simple - but if you want a quick answer use Skype and then do a search on software that will record the conversation.
